Strategy Games

Hi,

Curious how many Diehards out there play strategy games? I'm interested in on-line Internet games I could play against friends that are fairly easy to learn and don't take long to complete unless we can save them.
I love Risk and the old Amiga Empire Game and wondered if anyone out there has any suggestions?

Any help will be apprecited.
