I do not know if you were truly ready to come out beta. While the majority of things seem well-coded, I have only gotten to level 8 and have encountered numerous bugs. Luckily, none are game-breaking:
1.) As a beginner, your stats are supposed to be auto-added, yet your range stays at 1-1...makes leveling pretty shitty. 2.)Once you advance, your off-stats are supposed to be set to 4/4...for example, I made a mage and my dex/str were set to 5/12 respectively instead of the 4/4. 3.)Snail shells do not disappear when one uses the shell throw skill. 4.)The training quests after job advancement do not activate. 5.) Upon advancing, one does not receive the beginner's training weapon.
As a newcomer, it is disappointing to encounter so many bugs all before first job advancement. Also, if you want "vintage game play" like you advertise, I would remove the @job command and the store run by the Christmas NPC (selling Onyx apples, Pap cracks, etc). IT takes away from the whole marketing scheme of low-rate nostalgic server you are striving for. I think the potential here is huge, so keep up the good work! Charles
EDIT: IT would seem all quests are not working? How one can justify ending beta with quests not working is beyond me...

Thank you for pointing everything out! Like you said, they are not game breaking, while I understand your frustration . 1) The stats ARE being added, its just that the weapon you currently start off with was 0. This was to create uniqueness and challenge to the game however, some players thought of them as a bug. Therefore, In the recent patch, I have ADDED a weapon with some attack damage. 2) With advancement, your stats do start 5/12 like you've said however no AP was deducted from level 1 to 10. 3) Snail shells don't disappear, and If you were smart enough, you could have used the skills with the purpose of killing things rather than doing the 1-1 damage range pointed above. The snail shells prove no point in use after reaching level 10 and above as it's set damage. 4) We are aware the training quests after job advancements do not activate, however we did point out that most of the quests will be customized stated advertised. Please keep in mind that these will take some time to be put in. It should however, not hinder your training experience. 5) Upon doing the tutorial, which you clearly didn't do, one DOES simply receive a class weapon. Players will however be given the option of skipping them.
As a Gamemaster, I am very grateful for you time here with us at Valkyria. We are sorry you have felt that the vintage game play you were looking for was not met, however we are working hard to provide players like you the things advertised for. Please feel free to come by and check us out in the near future as we continue to develop working towards our goal.
Suho.
